About the Role

Discovery Parks require a pool of experienced Relief Park Managers to provide temporary/fixed term management to cover periods of leave or other absences of standard Park Management teams across our network. The role is uniquely designed to fit flexible individuals or couples, to complete assignments varying in duration and ongoing consistency. Your skills and experience will allow you to hit the ground running and seamlessly operate the park in the Managers absence. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Daily park operations – front office, housekeeping, grounds and maintenance
  • Pre and post handover reviews with the Park Manager/s
  • Customer service and sales
  • Manage park team, including rostering, monitoring labour budget and work requirements of the park
  • Monitor park budgets and room rate dynamic pricing
  • Submit invoices, receipts in a timely manner

Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals with the following:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in park management or workstay accommodation
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial reporting
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in managing, developing and training staff
  • Strong computer skills, especially in the MS Office suite
  • A good understanding of yield management
  • Previous experience with RMS or Newbook
  • Knowledge and understanding of WHS and responsibilities
  • Mobility and flexibility to travel to different locations, including remote regions, sometimes at short notice 
  • Current manual drivers license essential
  • Provision of own transport / accommodation (e.g. caravan) to assist with logistics between and during assignments is preferable but not essential.
